DIG FOR VICTORY: War on Waste

Dig for Victory was a response to a wartime problem of food shortages but the campaign reflects things that we are concerned about today – having access to fresh healthy food, being active and living sustainably.

Dig for Victory: War on Waste Harvest Fair 27 & 28 September 2008 

Time    Place
 11:00 – 4:00  St James’s Park allotment

Harvest arts and crafts activities – straw dolls, pom pom animals and potato printing.  There will be talks from Home Front Friends, specialists in World War II cooking, a petting zoo and the Royal Parks and Fullers shire horses will be available for meet and greet.
