Education Sessions
As with all aspects of its work, the Education Service is keen to tailor what it offers to the specific needs of each group. The level and amount of detail in any of the teaching sessions can be adjusted to suit the particular pupils, and we strongly recommend that teachers planning the trip refer to the relevant Key Stage pages and then discuss with us what would be best for their group.
- With advance notice, the Conference Room, where Education sessions are held, can be fitted with a hearing loop.
- Handling sessions and workshops are particularly appropriate to pupils with a visual impairment.
- Pupils with a MLD may prefer a workshop, although we have found that the slides and film clips we use are a helpful way of reinforcing what they have learned in school. The workshops are listed on the Key Stage 2 page, but can be made appropriate to pupils in Key Stages 3 & 4.
