How to Book Sessions for Schools

Admission to Churchill Museum and Cabinet War Rooms is free for children under 16 and for accompanying adults within our allowed ratios. There is a charge for pre-booked educational sessions:

We operate a pay-on-the-day system. Upon arrival, payment can be made by cheque, credit/debit card or cash. We do not accept American Express. Cheques should be made payable to the Imperial War Museum.
For safety reasons, all groups must have an adult-to-child ratio of 1:10. Teachers/adults accompanying pupils within this ratio go free, but additional adults may be charged at the adult group admission price. We reserve the right to refuse admission to groups that do not meet the ratio on the day.
Churchill Museum and Cabinet War Rooms admission charges apply to groups aged 16 or over, but if your group’s admission fees total £90 or more your session will be free.

Cancellations and Refunds
If you need to cancel your booking, please give us at least 4 weeks’ notice to ensure you get a full refund. Cancellations must be submitted in writing to cwr-edu@iwm.org.uk.

Any charges will be invoiced on the day the cancellation is received.
If you arrive late on the day, we cannot guarantee your booked session will be available at a later time and you will still be charged.
Any pre-booked group that has a session cancelled by the Museum will receive a full refund.
