The Churchill Museum, opened in February 2005, explores the man behind the legend. It is a new but integral part of the historic Cabinet War Rooms and is the first major museum in the world solely dedicated to the life and achievements of Sir Winston Churchill. It comprises over 850 square metres of exhibition space displaying original artefacts, photographs, documents and film, including much material never displayed in public before, combined with numerous interactive exhibits using cutting edge computer technology. The Cabinet War Rooms and Churchill Museum receive no direct government funding and are required to be financially self-sufficient. Your valuable contribution can help us to preserve and maintain the historic rooms, to develop the Churchill Museum, to support our education and outreach programmes and to ensure that the achievements and legacy of Sir Winston Churchill live on for the future generations.
